S&P 500 Futures Jump after November Inflation Report Comes in as Expected

November’s CPI was in line with expectations

Stock futures are near flat Wednesday as Wall Street digested new U.S. inflation data.

Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rose 75 points, or about 0.2 percent. S&P 500 futures and Nasdaq 100 futures ticked higher by 0.4 percent and 0.6 percent, respectively.

November’s consumer price index, which tracks a basket of goods and services, was in line with expectations. The reading showed a 0.3 percent rise from October and 2.7 percent increase from a year ago. Excluding volatile food and energy prices, core CPI increased 0.3 percent on the month and 3.3 percent on an annual basis.
